John and Jennifer Wampler met while attending an inner-city church in Ft. Worth, Tx. John was finishing up his senior year in college at Texas Wesleyan University and Jennifer was employed at the church. John and Jennifer fell in love and soon got married while in Ft. Worth. They both spent the next 5 years in Ft. Worth and had two wonderful kids, Hannah and Daniel.
In 2007, after they had moved, Lizzy was born in Springfield, Mo. Lizzy was truly a joyful and happy baby as she seemed to always smile and have a joyful disposition.
The next year, the Wamplers moved to Columbia, Mo as John accepted a position at The Food Bank for Central and NorthEast Missouri. Daniel, Hannah and Lizzy all attended Christian Fellowship School for several years and then went onto public school.
John and Jennifer are moving forward by faith and are focusing on raising their other two wonderful children. They receive much joy by supporting other families going through pediatric cancer. Much healing is found in creating and sharing podcasts that gives families the tools needed to navigate the journey through pediatric cancer.
Hannah has graduated from High School and is now working part-time while attending Community College. Daniel is entering his Junior year of High School while playing Soccer, Basketball and Baseball. Both greatly miss their sister and carry her memories with them each day.
John and Jennifer felt God had given them a wonderful base of supporters while going through Lizzy’s journey, so they were inspired to be that support for other families. Through this, they created a system of support by forming Lizzy’s Walk of Faith Foundation.
Lizzy was greatly impacted by the children going through cancer, so they knew it would bring her great joy if they would be a voice for pediatric cancer and help families who were impacted by it. If you or a family you know is facing pediatric cancer and needs support, please contact us.
